Given the general chat around the show, it's not just us at VWBS who think that each year the weather is getting wetter for the furniture fair. Still, it keeps the taxi drivers and the itinerant umbrella sales guys busy.

And Zona Tortona is also getting busier every year, which might be due to the new fair ground being that much farther out of town.

Good news for us however, because we were exhibiting right at the beginning of Via Tortona in a large and old car garage, converted into an exhibition space for 5 UK companies with some red carpet, some MDF raised flooring and a huge PVC banner to enclose the space. We showed our SETCAST collection of bone china tableware.

Our new friends at Decode launched their company with three of our products: the Ribbon coatrack, the Slicebox table in a high gloss lacquer (their excellent idea for the finish) and our newly designed Tripod barstool. Contact Ryan Malone from Decode for prices and expected lead times. Contact Ian Macready at our office for more information on SETCAST.

You can read all about the many happenings and launches at the show on some excellent and disinterested design blogs such as Mocoloco, and Dezeen (thanks for giving us your set of cool stickers.) Our highlights were having lunch most days in Osteria Del Binari, getting into the Castiglioni studio and travelling on the number 2 tram.
