We have been included in the new Phaidon Press book, & Fork, the follow-up to Spoon. This is the best guide to the most interesting and exciting 100 product designers to have emerged over the last 5 years.
Alongside VWBS in the book are New York designer Stephen Burks, Stefan Diez from Germany, Barcelona-based Jaime Hayon, French designer Arik Levy and the Japanese group Nendo.

Project: Whitehall Court, London
|

We are currently working on a project in the Grade II* listed building Whitehall Court for a developer, to create a striking 300 square metre apartment with south-facing river views and views over Green Park to the north.
|

The brief is to weave a rational circulation through the three towers of this building, designed by Alfred Waterhouse (architect of the Natural History Museum) and Archer & Green, adding in a glass mezzanine, while preserving the listed original timber beam structure.

Project: Space Furniture showroom, Kuala Lumpur

Space Furrniture, the most progressive design retailer in Australia, is expanding its south-east Asian presence with a new 440 square metre showroom in the Malaysian capital, on a strategic corner of KL's smartest residential area.

We are working with local architects C ARCH, to refurbish an existing 1970s building, and to erect a large glass extension that is designed for maximum visibility on both sides of its corner site. The pavilion roof canopy will extend to the edge of the footpath to draw in passers by and we will create an additional side entrance.

For those of you who do not know already, we have moved our office to London's design hub of Shoreditch. We are sharing our space with the German furniture maker, Walter Knoll, in order that we can have a few decent chairs around the place.

Fans of dark rye breads and cured salmon can now try out a fantastic new café, the Nordic Bakery in London's Golden Square, opened by Jali Wahlsten from Finland.
Congratulations to one of our French design interns, Stephane Gouraud, who won third prize (cash included) at the International Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass Competition in Milan last month. Unfortunately, the Bombay Sapphire website is out of date.

Leading design retailer Greenwich Village will be presenting the Best of British on the fourth floor of Selfridges from June 7th until July 14th. Very nicely, they have asked us to participate in the show.
